They're hosting a fundraiser for the local cancer treatment center, so we were coming up with a drink menu, and whipped up a new martini (well, new to us, anyway)

Kit's Butterscotch Martini:
2 shots Absolut Vanilla vodka
1 shot Hiram Walker Buttershots
.
Rim 2 chilled glasses with powdered sugar
Shake mixture with ice, strain, and serve.
(Very smooth and sweet...be careful!)
I do seem to be on a bit of a virtual bender with these last 2 posts, but never fear, back to regular recipes next time!

You may not call anything made with vodka a martini. That is an abomination. A martini is ALWAYS gin. I am an expert on martinis. BIG martinis. Lots and lots of BIG maritnis. LOL
A pure martini (or a dirty one with the olive juice - yummy) definitely is a gin thing. But vodka has its place....oh yes....
FYI: New discovery - we blended the likker mixture from this one in with some vanilla ice cream for a frozen version.
WOW!!!!!
To me the best thing is the "Martini Glass"...I love stemware. Now just put some excellent vodka (Grey Goose??) in.....and call it a martini because of the glass, not the libation!
